Harvest 2019
Our first harvest! The first flowers started blooming on the 16th of October, in an unusually warm autumn. The temperature started dropping soon, however, and with the cold the rain arrived too.
It was a challenging harvest in one of the wettest end of October/beginning of November we can remember in the area, but we still managed to collect all of the beautiful Crocus flowers and the plants look healthy and happy too.
Harvest finished on the 16th of November, and we are now ready to enjoy our first batch of the spice! If you are interested in our saffron, you can write us.
Also, we haven’t been the only one enjoying the flowers. The bees were very happy to have a late season feast! They kept us company in those longs days with their singing. Here is one of the songs.
